Lifting Spirits

Prescott United Methodist Church Campus - 505 W. Gurley Street

  • Classes are held in the Douglas Meeting Room across from the People Who Care office
  • Registration is a must!  Call (928) 445-2480
  • A family member or close friend is welcome to participate in the course
  • Course is limited to 30 participants

Topics that will be covered:
  • ​Understanding Medical Conditions of the Eye, Research and Treatment
  • Orientation and Mobility
  • Getting Organized, Safety Steps, Help with Reading and Writing, Lighting Tips and "Your Home is Your Castle"
  • Introduction to Assistive Technology - Computer Choices; Applications and tutorials; Telephones and GPS
  • Assistive Technology Integrated Related Topics - SunSounds, Talking Book Library, Guide Dogs
  • Community Resources
  • Screen Readers and Magnification Devices

Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 10:15 to 11:30 on the campus of the Prescott United Methodist Church where the Prescott office is located.
Stroke survivors and their caregivers meet separately. There is no need to register. If you would like more information, call the Prescott office.
